Runvember 2023

This year 28 HRC members ran the Runvember challenge. Collecting bags of food and other items as well as raising over £650 in donations and cake sales.

For 30 days we all ran or walked at lest one mile a day, some swam or cycled instead. To find out more go to https://www.runvember.co.uk/

So far the event raised around £8k and 2.5 tonne of food!

Fixture details and timings will be posted on the League’s website in due course, which is
also the primary source for up-to-date information for the Oxon cross-country league.

HRC have joined the League for the 2023-24 season so all we need now is you, our beloved club members, to come along on the dates shown above in your bestest cross-country clobber and enjoy the thrills, spills and hills of the various courses.

Everyone who participates in the cross-country for HRC can vouch for four things:

1. the routes are scenic and enjoyable
2. we have great camaraderie
3. everyone has a good laugh (usually after the event)
4. we have the most enthusiastic (and loudest) support

There are entry fees for each athlete and is based on the number of events each athlete is entered for. The league charge each athlete registering….
Before round 1 – £20 for U20 and above, £15 for Juniors
Before round 2 – £16 for U20 and above, £12 for Juniors
Before round 3 – £12 for U20 and above, £9 for Juniors
Before round 4 – £8 for U20 and above, £6 for Juniors
Before round 5 – £4 for U20 and above, £3 for Juniors

To encourage club members, HRC are willing to pay 25% of the entry fees for each athlete. Once registration details are released I will publish, but all I need for the time being are lots of positive comments and thumbs up from people who are willing to represent our club at these events.
