Come run with us

We are a small, friendly running club located in Highworth near Swindon, catering for runners of all ages and abilities. Whether you want to compete in races from 5K to Marathon or simply have a gentle jog and chat, you'll find someone to join in with.

We meet on various days through the week with a session dedicated to beginners at 18:00 every Wednesday evening; wherever you run please ensure you follow these common sense guidelines.

Highworth 5 mile

A big thank you to all the runners, marshals and helpers who made the latest edition of the Highworth 5 a big success. This was Race 1 in the Wiltshire Road Race League and contributed to ensuring a strong field was assembled.

Provisional results are now available - unfortunately there are a few gaps in the results where runners numbers were accidentally missed; if you have any queries with the results or can assist with filling in the missing runners, please can you email Jason Campbell

As in previous years, numerous donations to local charities will be made from the profits of the Highworth 5.

 

Forthcoming club runs / sessions:

Wed 21st June - the 18:00 group will be meeting at The Rec, in The Elms, Highworth; everyone else will meet at 19:00 in the car park of the National Trust office in Coleshill for a Mick Newton meander

Sat 24th June - meeting 09:00 in the Ridgeway car park at Foxhill; various routes and distances will be available

Mon 26th June - meeting 18:30 at the athletics track in Swindon (behind the County Ground, home of Swindon Town FC); this week it is Chris Carter reps

Wed 28th June - the 18:00 group will be meeting at The Rec, in The Elms, Highworth; everyone else will meet at 19:00 outside Vorda, in Brewery Street, Highworth

Sat 1st July - meeting 09:00 at the bottom of Blunsdon hill (old A419 from Cold Harbour pub) for a JC jaunt; various routes and distances will be available

Mon 3rd July- meeting 18:30 at the athletics track in Swindon (behind the County Ground, home of Swindon Town FC); this week it is small pyramids

Wed 5th July - the 18:00 group will be meeting at The Rec, in The Elms, Highworth; everyone else will meet at 19:00 in the car park of the Trout Inn, Lechlade

Sat 8th July - meeting 09:00 in the Ridgeway car park at Barbury Castle; various routes and distances will be available

Sun 9th July - Two Tunnels 10km is a named race in 2017 Club Series

Mon 10th July - meeting 18:30 at the athletics track in Swindon (behind the County Ground, home of Swindon Town FC); this week it is 600m reps

Wed 12th July - the 18:00 group will be meeting at The Rec, in The Elms, Highworth for the next round in the Beginners Club Series; everyone else will meet at 19:00 in the car park of the Jolly Tar, Hannington

Sat 15th July - meeting 09:00 in the Ridgeway car park at the top of Ashbury Hill; various routes and distances will be available

Mon 17th July - meeting 18:30 at the athletics track in Swindon (behind the County Ground, home of Swindon Town FC); this week it is medium pyramids

Wed 19th July - the 18:00 group will be meeting at The Rec, in The Elms, Highworth; everyone else will meet at 19:00 in the car park of the Rose & Crown, Ashbury

Sat 22nd July - meeting 09:00 in the lay-by near The Trout Inn, Lechlade; various routes and distances will be available

Mon 24th July - meeting 18:30 at the athletics track in Swindon (behind the County Ground, home of Swindon Town FC); this week it is JC reps

Wed 26th July - the 18:00 group will be meeting at The Rec, in The Elms, Highworth; everyone else will meet at 19:00 in the car park of the Freke Arms, Swanborough
